NomadUI secures $11M to launch a cross-device layout engine for responsive prototypes

NomadUI announced an $11 million funding round to build a layout engine that preserves design intent when moving between screen sizes and input modes. The engine models constraints and fluid behaviors so prototypes stay consistent across desktop, tablet, and mobile without manual rework.

Key capabilities include constraint-based layout export, breakpoint synthesis, and automatic interaction reflow for touch vs. pointer inputs. NomadUI offers plugins for major prototyping tools and an API to embed the engine in custom workflows.

Product teams are excited about reducing the repetitive work of rebuilding components for multiple form factors. NomadUI's 'intent-preserve' mode attempts to retain alignment, spacing relationships, and interaction patterns while adapting to available space.

The company plans to release developer previews with design and front-end engineering partners this summer and aims for production SDK releases in Q1 2027.
