Notion AI adds 'Design Brief Generator' and component library linking

The Design Brief Generator ingests product requirements and outputs prioritized design goals, success metrics, stakeholder lists, and recommended component candidates. It can also suggest wireframe sketches and annotated acceptance criteria for designers and PMs to iterate on.

Notion's component library linking allows teams to reference canonical components with live previews and version history. When a component is updated in the design system, Notion shows affected briefs and pages so stakeholders can assess impact and coordinate updates.

Teams said the features reduced miscommunication in early-stage product planning, though they requested deeper integrations with Figma and Git-based component repositories. Notion indicated stronger Figma and design-tool integrations are planned later this year.
