Notion AI integrates design tokens and component snippets into pages

When a Notion document references visual elements like colors or buttons, Notion AI can suggest the canonical design token, show examples of usage, and insert small code or component snippets that engineers can copy. The feature works with several design systems via connectors and can index internal component libraries.

Notion emphasized that tokens live in a central repository inside a workspace and that AI suggestions are surfaced with provenance links to the originating design artifacts. Teams can lock tokens to enforce usage and receive alerts when documents deviate from the current system.

This update is part of Notion’s broader push to become a single source of truth for product teams. The token-aware AI is rolling out gradually to paid customers and integrates with exports to Figma, Storybook and Git repositories.
