These blocks can be chained so outputs feed into follow-up prompts—for example, generating user journeys from personas, then turning those journeys into test cases. The system supports team templates and tokenized inputs to enforce consistent language.

Design teams appreciated the time savings in sketching initial docs for sprint planning and handoffs. The blocks also support metadata fields for owners, priorities, and status, enabling easier integration with engineering trackers. Notion added audit logs showing generator inputs and subsequent edits, aimed at traceability for distributed teams.

Some product managers warned that auto-generated requirements can be noisy if prompts aren’t precise, so Notion emphasized templates and prompt best practices.
