Notion Design Blocks ships generative components seeded from workspace content

Design Blocks analyzes pages, templates, and common layout patterns within a Notion workspace to propose reusable components—such as status cards, onboarding modules, or feature highlights—that teams can export to design tools. Each component includes notes on usage and links back to source pages for traceability.

The generator uses a combination of pattern mining and a lightweight LLM that respects team-specific vocabulary and product semantics. Outputs are intended to be a starting point: designers can accept, tweak, and then export finalized components to Figma or as tokenized artifacts.

Notion argues this feature helps product teams preserve institutional knowledge in design primitives, speeding up prototyping and ensuring consistency between documentation and product UIs. Privacy controls let admins opt-out or restrict which content feeds the generator.
