Notion Labs prototypes 'FlowGen' to turn meeting notes into UI drafts
Design · 3 min read
Notion shared details of FlowGen, an in-house prototype that maps structured meeting notes—objectives, KPIs, and action items—into basic dashboard wireframes and shared views. FlowGen targets product teams who want a quick visual manifestation of meeting outcomes without manual layout work.
FlowGen uses a small language model to interpret the semantic roles in notes and a layout engine tuned to common dashboard patterns. Outputs are editable and include suggested data bindings to Notion databases and external APIs.
The prototype is being tested internally and with select partners, and Notion is exploring adding a plugin model for custom templates. Product managers reported faster alignment on dashboard requirements, but designers stressed the need for tighter control over information hierarchy and visual design.
