Notion launches Canvas Pro with real-time generative components

Notion introduced Canvas Pro, a workspace upgrade that embeds generative components directly into pages and canvases. These components can produce flowcharts, copy variants, basic UI sketches, and code stubs in real time, enabling rapid exploration without leaving Notion.

Canvas Pro supports collaborative editing with per-component versioning and audit histories, letting teams revert changes or iterate on generated outputs. The product integrates with external tooling through a new component API, allowing plugins to provide domain-specific generators.

Notion is selling Canvas Pro as part of an upgraded team plan that includes enterprise security features and governance controls. The company believes inline generative components will make Notion a more central hub for early-stage product work and documentation.
