Notion's block-based model scales well on desktop where drag-and-drop and wide canvas behavior shine. On mobile, the same affordances require rethinking: long-press menus replace drag handles, and nested navigation hides context. The result is a trade-off between fidelity and accessibility where certain power actions are awkward on small screens.

Search and quick capture are strengths on mobile, enabling users to add notes in the moment. However, visual context is reduced, and multi-block operations are slower. Offline handling is improved but still inconsistent for heavy editors working in intermittent connectivity scenarios.

Practical fixes include a modal 'block toolbox' for quick multi-select operations on mobile, clearer breadcrumbs to navigate deep pages, and smarter sync conflict indicators. These changes would bridge functionality gaps without compromising Notion's composability.
