NovaML launches multimodal code assistant for design systems, raises $25M seed
AI · 4 min read
NovaML launched a code-first assistant that understands design tokens, component APIs, and accessibility semantics to generate UI code aligned with a team's design system. The company paired the product launch with a $25 million seed round led by Index Ventures and angel investors from major design toolmakers.
The assistant integrates with code editors and Figma, detecting component variants and proposing ready-to-commit PRs that implement updated tokens or responsive behaviors. NovaML emphasized its focus on reducing the gap where designers hand off mocks and engineers reimplement components.
Seed capital will be used to scale model training on proprietary component datasets, improve localization and RTL support, and provide enterprise governance features including audit logs and model fine-tuning for private repositories.
