NovaSketch launches offline-first collaborative whiteboard and raises $12M
Design · 3 min read
NovaSketch’s product works seamlessly offline and syncs changes peer-to-peer when connections are available, allowing distributed teams to run workshops without cloud lock-in. The tool includes sticky notes, timed facilitation features, and exportable templates for design sprints and user research sessions.
The $12 million seed round, led by Horizon Labs with participation from boutique design funds, will help NovaSketch refine collaborative algorithms, expand support for enterprise single sign-on, and add integrations with Miro, Figma, and Notion. The company also plans to release native mobile apps with optimized latency for low-bandwidth environments.
Early adopters praise NovaSketch’s facilitation toolkit and attention to offline reliability in hybrid settings where connectivity varies. The founders say they intentionally built privacy-first defaults and an on-premises option for organizations with strict data residency requirements.
