NVIDIA launches Omniverse Studio Edge and raises $400M for enterprise metaverse tooling

Omniverse Studio Edge packages real-time rendering, physics simulation, and shared scene editing into a lightweight deployment suitable for manufacturing floors, automotive design studios, and digital twins. The suite enables secure, on-prem collaboration with cloud sync options.
NVIDIA’s $400 million investment will help build industry-specific connectors, certified hardware bundles, and co-funded pilot programs for enterprises adopting metaverse workflows. The company stresses interoperability with open standards and existing CAD and PLM systems.
Enterprises testing the product report improved cross-discipline iteration and reduced data transfer overhead. NVIDIA plans to certify systems with major OEMs and roll out vertical toolkits for automotive, energy, and manufacturing partners.
