ObsidianAI raises $75M Series B to scale responsible LLMs for product teams

ObsidianAI announced a $75 million Series B round led by Glacier Capital to scale its line of customized, on-premise-ready large language models for product and design teams. The startup focuses on smaller, cost-efficient models optimized for design knowledge bases and code-aware documentation.

The funding will accelerate efforts around model compression, differential privacy features, and SOC 2 / ISO 27001 compliance work to meet large-enterprise security needs. ObsidianAI says its models can run in constrained cloud environments and on private inference hardware.

Product updates include a new design-assistant API that understands component libraries, accessibility constraints, and interaction patterns. The company will also introduce model governance tools to help teams audit prompt chains and outputs for regulatory and UX quality requirements.
