OpenAI Debuts Dall-E 3.5 with Vector Output and Style Tokens for Designers

OpenAI today announced Dall‑E 3.5, an incremental but focused update that targets design workflows rather than consumer image generation. The headline features are native SVG/JSON vector export and a system of style tokens that let designers lock typographic, stroke, and color characteristics across generated assets.
The vector output intentionally produces editable paths and shape layers that import cleanly into tools like Figma and Illustrator. OpenAI says this reduces the manual cleanup traditionally required when converting raster outputs to scalable assets, speeding iteration for logos, icons, and responsive UI elements.
Style tokens are short, human-readable tags designers can create and share with teams. When applied to prompts, they maintain consistency — for example, preserving a brand's rounded corner radii or a core color palette across multiple generations. OpenAI positions this update as a bridge between generative experimentation and production-ready design systems.
