Open-source Persona Guard: a toolkit to align assistant tone for product designers

Persona Guard lets teams specify persona constraints (e.g., 'concise, friendly, avoids jargon') and then scores generated responses against those constraints. The toolkit supports both lightweight heuristics and model-driven classifiers that can be trained with small datasets.

Integration is straightforward: Persona Guard hooks into prototyping tools and CI pipelines to flag deviations early. The project also includes a UI for collaborative tuning so designers and copywriters can adjust constraints and review failed cases.

By focusing on brand alignment and reproducibility, Persona Guard reduces the risk of inconsistent user-facing messaging when models are swapped or updated. Small design teams found it especially useful for maintaining tone across automated help systems and in-app guidance.
