Orbit Games secures $45M to launch a cloud-native game engine for live services

Orbit’s engine is built to run large-scale multiplayer services with features like hot code swaps, tiled region replication, and live parameter tunes that don’t require player downtime. The engine integrates serverless orchestration for ephemeral match servers and centralized telemetry for live ops teams.

The $45 million round was led by Arcadia Ventures with participation from studio partners and cloud infrastructure backers. Orbit plans to extend its suite with better analytics tooling, economy simulation modules, and a marketplace of live-ops scripts.

Indie and mid-size studios that piloted the engine highlighted the ability to run large events without heavy ops overhead and to iterate on balance quickly using built-in simulation and rollback primitives. Orbit positions the engine as a productivity layer for teams building long-lived multiplayer titles.
