Orbit Studio Raises $25M to Ship Designer-Focused Vector Editor with Real-Time Collaboration

Orbit Studio announced a $25 million Series A led by Creative Capital to fund the development of Orbit Designer, a browser-native vector editor built for teams. The product aims to deliver high-fidelity vector operations, advanced boolean workflows, and real-time multiplayer editing with conflict resolution at scale.

Beta features include non-destructive booleans, parametric components, a powerful constraints engine for responsive layouts, and GPU-accelerated rendering for complex artboards. Orbit is positioning itself as an alternative to legacy desktop vector tools and modern web-based editors by focusing on stability and collaboration for production design work.

The funding will expand design-engineer hiring across three offices and support a plugin ecosystem where developers can ship custom exporters and design system validators. Orbit also announced partnerships with two large ad agencies for enterprise trials.
