Orbital Dynamics secures $95M to commercialize a simulation platform for physics-driven games

Orbital Dynamics' platform simulates complex physics systems — from soft-body destruction to large-scale fluid dynamics — with a deterministic core that supports rollback synchronization for multiplayer games. Studios can offload heavy simulation to the cloud while keeping client-side prediction intact.

The $95 million round led by Pioneer Equity will fund global data-center expansion, tighter engine integrations, and a managed simulation service for live events. The company says this will let game teams run large-scale physics-driven spectacles without overburdening player devices.

Early customers include several mid-size studios using the platform to add emergent environmental interactions and more realistic crowd simulations. Orbital Dynamics is also offering a studio-tier license that bundles technical support and co-engineering services for launch windows.
