Overflow adds Journey AI to auto-generate user flows from prototypes and research notes
Design · 3 min read
Journey AI analyzes prototype pages, clickable hotspots, and sticky notes or research summaries to infer typical user journeys and edge-case paths. It annotates flows with research evidence, usability risk markers, and estimated effort scores for suggested fixes.
The generated flows can be exported as interactive diagrams with linked prototypes and test artifacts, making it easier for PMs and engineers to see the rationale behind design choices. Teams can add constraints to prioritize flows, such as focusing on conversion funnels or accessibility remediation.
Overflow also added collaboration reviews that let stakeholders comment on a node-level basis, anchoring feedback to specific steps. Early users say the tool reduced time spent manually mapping research insights to product flows and improved cross-functional clarity.
