PaletteAI raises $42M Series A to ship a design-to-code engine for responsive systems

PaletteAI, a startup building AI-powered design engineering tools, closed a $42 million Series A led by Riverbend Ventures with participation from Studio Capital and angel investors from major product teams. The funding will go toward expanding Palette Flow, the company's flagship product that automatically converts design files into clean, responsive code components.

Palette Flow parses layout semantics, accessibility constraints, and design tokens to produce production-ready React, Vue, and Flutter components with test scaffolding and documentation. The startup says Flow supports design systems and can generate variations for breakpoints, dark mode, and localization, reducing handoff friction between designers and engineers.

Early beta users report time-to-prototype drops of up to 60%, and PaletteAI plans to ship a GA plugin for Figma and a CLI for CI/CD pipelines within the next quarter. The team also announced an open-source initiative to standardize «design-to-code» metadata and hopes to partner with component library maintainers to improve generated output quality.
