PaletteAI raises $60M and launches ColorGen, an AI color system tuned for accessibility

PaletteAI announced a $60M Series C to accelerate product development and support new enterprise features, alongside the launch of ColorGen, an AI color generation tool built around accessibility and brand consistency. The startup claims ColorGen can produce palettes that meet WCAG 2.2 AA and AAA contrast thresholds across dynamic UI states.

ColorGen integrates with design tools and style token systems to produce color recipes, adaptive color modes for dark and high-brightness environments, and a testing harness for automated contrast regression checks. PaletteAI emphasized that the model was trained with a combination of curated color theory data and simulated state transitions across UI components.

The funding will fuel enterprise partnerships, expansion of a SaaS offering for design ops teams, and additional localization to support cultural color preferences. PaletteAI also announced a free tier for indie designers and a new partnership with a major design system consultancy to pilot ColorGen on large-scale products.
