PaletteAI Releases Design-Assist API After $28M Funding Round

The Series A was led by Meridian Ventures and included investments from several design-focused funds. PaletteAI has been running pilot programs with enterprise product teams to reduce friction between product, design, and engineering.

PaletteAI’s API accepts a short spec—brand tokens, functional constraints, and accessibility requirements—and returns component implementations in React, SwiftUI, and Flutter, plus design files for Figma. The system preserves token mappings so generated components slot into existing design systems.

Clients report faster prototype-to-code handoffs and fewer token mismatches. PaletteAI also offers a sandbox for designers to iterate on layout proposals and tune heuristics for spacing and hierarchy.

The company says human review remains part of the flow and plans to add audit trails and versioning to satisfy compliance needs for regulated industries. Competitors are emerging, but PaletteAI’s focus on system compatibility sets it apart.
