PaletteOS Raises $12M Seed to Build an Accessibility-First Design System

PaletteOS, a startup focused on accessible design systems, announced a $12 million seed round led by Rainbridge Ventures. The funding will be used to expand the team, build integrations with major component libraries, and launch enterprise-grade governance tools.

PaletteOS stands out by making accessibility a first-class citizen: it provides semantic tokens that adapt across themes and an engine that runs automated contrast and interaction checks during the build process. The platform also generates developer-ready components in multiple frameworks while preserving accessible markup and ARIA semantics.

Early customers report significant time savings in compliance audits and faster handoffs between design and engineering. PaletteOS plans to release a Figma plugin in beta that allows designers to preview accessibility impacts live as they modify tokens and components.
