PaletteOS raises $50M Series B to ship open design OS for creative teams

PaletteOS integrates with major design apps and cloud storage to enforce style tokens, component libraries and license compliance across teams. The company positions the OS as a governance layer that removes duplicate assets and automates versioning across distributed design orgs.
The Series B was led by Andreessen Horowitz with participation from Kleiner Perkins and several creative-industry LPs. PaletteOS will invest the capital into enterprise integrations, plugin marketplace curation and advanced identity and permissioning features.
PaletteOS's beta includes a visual dependency map that surfaces where components are used across products, and a policy engine that flags non-compliant assets before they reach production. Early adopters report reduced rework and faster handoff between design and engineering teams.
