PaletteOS Releases Adaptive Color System, Secures $8.5M Pre-seed

PaletteOS’s adaptive color engine generates palette variants that maintain contrast ratios, color harmony, and brand intent across light, dark, and ambient conditions. It integrates with design systems and outputs tokens for CSS, Android, and iOS while offering real-time previews in Figma.

The $8.5 million pre-seed round was led by Studio VC with participation from several design-focused funds. PaletteOS says the capital will help refine perceptual models, improve color-blindness simulations, and build enterprise-level governance controls for brand teams.

Design leaders trialing the system noted faster decisions around color ramps and a reduction in cross-platform inconsistencies. PaletteOS emphasizes that the technology is meant to augment designers’ choices with perceptual rules, not replace human judgment.
