PaletteOS announced a new theming engine that sits at the operating system level to provide consistent, accessible color palettes and typography across native and web applications. The engine monitors app styles and offers fallbacks that preserve contrast and readability.
With $30 million in Series B funding, PaletteOS will focus on partnerships with OEMs and platform vendors to ship the engine as a native accessibility layer. The goal is to make accessible design the default rather than an afterthought.
PaletteOS also released a developer toolkit that flags accessibility issues during design and build time and offers programmatic transformations that align third-party UIs with enterprise brand requirements while maintaining compliance.
