PaletteX launches collaborative color system and raises $14M seed
Design · 3 min read
PaletteX released a cloud-first color system product that syncs palettes, alias tokens, and adherence checks across popular design tools, Storybook, and CSS-in-JS frameworks. It adds automated contrast audits, brand-locking, and rollout plans for palette migrations to reduce visual regressions during product releases.
The startup also closed $14 million in seed funding led by Foundry Collective, with participation from design-led angels and platform investors. PaletteX will use the funds to deepen integrations with Figma, Adobe, major component libraries, and to build a permissions model for large design ops teams.
Early adopters highlighted the product's value in unifying designers and engineers around a single source of truth for color, reducing back-and-forths during handoff. PaletteX plans to add AI suggestions for accessible palette alternatives and smart contrast-preserving color transformations in the next release.
