PaperTrail raises $7M to launch micro-feedback tool for product teams

PaperTrail announced a $7 million seed financing led by RapidTest Ventures and released Pulse, a lightweight micro-feedback widget designers and PMs can place on any page or in-app surface. Pulse is designed to capture in-context, single-click sentiment and optional short comments, reducing noise in product feedback loops.

The product ships with a dashboard that auto-tags feedback to UI components via DOM mapping and aggregates suggestions by severity and frequency. The startup highlights rapid iteration cycles where teams can see immediate, attributable user sentiment after a UI change.

Funding will go toward expanding SDKs to native mobile, improving AI-assisted tagging, and scaling customer success. PaperTrail will offer a free tier for early-stage startups and pilot agreements with several SaaS products.
