PicaSense Launches Personalized Face AI SDK, Raises $18M to Scale Privacy Features
AI · 3 min read
PicaSense released a face AI SDK designed for on-device personalization without sending biometric data to the cloud, paired with an $18 million funding round led by Evergreen Capital.
The SDK supports expression mapping, gaze-aware UI adjustments, and consented identity recognition where user templates remain encrypted on-device. PicaSense emphasizes local-first privacy and provides developers with compliance toolkits for consent and data deletion.
Early customers include social video apps and retail kiosks that want to personalize content and offers without centralized biometric storage. PicaSense’s workflow converts face captures into non-reversible embeddings stored in secure enclaves on the device.
Investment will be used to extend hardware support, ship a web-native WASM runtime, and certify the SDK against emerging biometric privacy standards. The company opened an enterprise pilot program for Q3.
