PixelForge launches 'TextureLab' for game artists and raises $8M seed
Design · 3 min read
TextureLab allows artists to generate high-resolution PBR textures with controllable parameters and style-preserving AI upscaling. It integrates with popular game engines and supports layered exports for tiles, trim sheets, and decals.
PixelForge secured $8 million in seed funding led by Craftworks Capital to accelerate product development and engine integrations. The company said funds will go toward building art-directed generative models and plugins for major DCC tools.
Artist-centered features include versioned material libraries, parametric presets keyed to engine optimization targets, and a non-destructive workflow that blends hand-painted strokes with generative layers. PixelForge emphasizes retaining artistic control rather than full automation.
Early access partners include a handful of indie and mid-size studios testing TextureLab across PC and console pipelines. PixelForge plans a professional tier with collaboration features and asset management tailored to art teams.
