PixelForge raises $22M to launch DraftStudio — AI-assisted asset generator for game devs
Gaming · 4 min read
PixelForge, a startup building AI tools for game development, announced a $22 million Series A and the general availability of DraftStudio, an asset generator that produces textures, models, and LOD variants from textual prompts and rough sketches. DraftStudio includes export presets tailored to Unity and Unreal workflows and automates texture atlasing and normal map generation.
The funding will accelerate training of domain-specific models and expand integrations with version control and build systems commonly used by game teams. PixelForge’s roadmap includes a collaborative editor where artists can refine generated outputs using layered non-destructive edits.
Early access studios reported productivity gains by automating low-value tasks like tiling texture creation and prop generation, allowing senior artists to focus on high-level art direction. PixelForge positions DraftStudio as a production tool rather than a replacement for core art teams.
