PixelForge raises $6M seed to ship a browser-based GPU editor for game assets

PixelForge is building a browser-based editor that runs heavy GPU operations in managed cloud instances while delivering low-latency interactive painting via streaming. The editor supports PBR workflows, mesh painting, and instant normal/bake generation, enabling artists to work from any device.
PixelForge includes collaboration features for studios: shared sessions, live review, and asset versioning with delta sync. The company says the editor reduces time spent managing local toolchains and makes high-fidelity asset creation accessible to remote teams.
The seed round led by Foundry Lane will fund additional GPU capacity, expand integration with asset pipelines, and launch a plugin architecture so engine-specific optimizations can be published. Beta invites go out to early-access studios in Q3 2026.
