PixelNest raises $14M to build a composable 3D asset marketplace for AR/VR creators

PixelNest raised $14 million in seed funding to build a marketplace for composable 3D assets, optimized materials, and interoperable shaders for AR/VR applications. The marketplace emphasizes performance budgets, LOD sets, and verified scale so assets can be dropped into scenes without costly rework.
Creators can publish modular components—like attachable clothing, procedural surfaces, or rigged props—with clear metadata on polygon counts, texture sizes, and shader dependencies. PixelNest also offers a preview environment that simulates device-specific lighting and occlusion scenarios.
Funds will be used to expand curation, build licensing tools for enterprise buyers, and develop converter tools that ease migration between major engines. PixelNest plans to incentivize high-quality submissions with royalty options and editorial spotlights.
