PixelPulse closed a $22 million round led by Grayline Capital and supported by several ex-studio founders. The startup provides middleware that integrates with game engines to prioritize input-aware encoding, adaptive bitrate streaming, and region-aware edge routing.
The firm claims its client libraries reduce perceived latency by up to 25% compared to baseline cloud streaming setups in internal benchmarks. PixelPulse plans to use the funds to build additional SDKs for Unity and Unreal Engine, deepen CDN partnerships, and support hardware acceleration in edge nodes.
Developer-focused features launching include per-frame telemetry, debug overlays for frame composition, and a hosted matchmaking service designed for cloud-native multiplayer testing. PixelPulse targets studios looking to move to streaming-first launch strategies without rebuilding networking stacks.
