PixelWave raises $12M to scale real-time collaborative prototyping platform

PixelWave, a startup building cloud-native prototyping software, announced a $12 million Series A led by NorthBridge Ventures. The platform emphasizes low-latency multi-user editing, version-safe playback, and live device previews for remote teams.

Product improvements slated for the next release include granular permissioning, offline-first sync for intermittent connections, and a redesigned asset pipeline to reduce load times on complex prototypes. PixelWave also plans to invest in SDKs for embedding prototypes into developer workflows.

Design leaders at agencies already using PixelWave cited the platform's ability to maintain fidelity while enabling synchronous design critique. The company says the new capital will also fund customer success and enterprise sales to target larger design organizations.
