PlayForge Launches ForgeCloud: A No-Code Multiplayer Game Backend with $18M Seed

PlayForge announced the public launch of ForgeCloud, a managed backend for multiplayer games that requires no server engineering, and closed an $18 million seed round led by Player Capital. The platform offers matchmaking, authoritative simulation, live events, and telemetry dashboards packaged as configurable modules.

ForgeCloud's differentiator is a visual rule editor that lets designers configure game logic, economy balancing, and live events without writing backend code. The product supports rollback authoritative servers, deterministic replays, and plug-ins for major engines including Unity and Unreal. Pricing tiers align with concurrent user counts and telemetry retention needs.

Early adopters include a handful of indie studios and two mid-size publishers running closed betas. PlayForge plans to use the funding to build out cloud regions in APAC and Europe and invest in anti-cheat and DDoS mitigation services to support competitive titles.
