PlayGrid today launched Indie Arcade, a backend service that helps indie studios manage distribution, live events, in-game economies, and analytics without maintaining complex infrastructure. Indie Arcade offers automated store packaging, DLC management, and a simple event manager for time-limited content.
The startup raised $5 million in seed funding to grow their developer support team and expand analytics and fraud prevention tools. PlayGrid’s UX focuses on non-technical founders, providing templates for seasonal events and monetization strategies based on genre benchmarks.
Initial users reported that Indie Arcade reduced time spent on platform compliance and allowed teams to focus on content. PlayGrid plans to add an SDK for engine vendors and to introduce revenue acceleration services, including localized store listings and creative A/B testing endpoints.
