PrismUI launches 'Adaptive Grid' and raises $22M to transform responsive design

PrismUI unveiled Adaptive Grid, a layout engine that dynamically reflows components based on content priority and contextual constraints rather than fixed breakpoints. The company believes this approach will simplify component libraries and improve accessibility across devices.

PrismUI paired the launch with a $22 million Series A round led by Framework Capital to scale engineering, build enterprise controls, and deepen integrations with existing design system tools. Early adopters include retail and media companies piloting the engine for product listings and editorial flows.

PrismUI also published guidelines for migrating traditional CSS and component libraries to Adaptive Grid, and released a CLI tool to analyze a product's components and suggest migration paths. The firm plans an enterprise subscription model with change management services for large clients.
