ProtoLab launches StyleSync to sync brand tokens with generative models

StyleSync bridges the gap between design system tokens and model conditioning by translating tokens into embeddings that generative models can consume. The system maintains constraints—such as color contrast and type hierarchies—so generated UI assets adhere to brand rules.

The middleware offers connectors for common model providers, a Figma plugin to publish tokens, and an API for runtime services to request brand-aligned assets. ProtoLab is marketing StyleSync as a governance layer to avoid token drift when models are used for rapid asset creation.

Security features include token versioning, signing, and policy enforcement so organizations can approve or rollback token updates centrally. Early enterprise customers reported fewer manual brand corrections when they adopted the system in pilot runs.
