PulseInput announces 'SensePad' active stylus and gets $11M seed

PulseInput's SensePad stylus pairs high-resolution pressure sensing with IMU-based gesture recognition and skin-contact sensors to provide richer input signals to creative tools. The hardware is bundled with firmware that exposes raw streams to developers for custom behaviors.

The $11 million seed round will support tooling, driver work across platforms, and partnerships with creative app vendors. PulseInput emphasized low latency and long battery life, positioning SensePad as a pro-level accessory for illustrators and UI designers.

SensePad also ships with a calibration suite for apps to adapt stroke dynamics to individual artists and a plugin SDK to map gestures to commands, macros, or AI prompts. Preorders are open with developer early-access units scheduled for Q1 2027.
