PulsePlay raises $55M and unveils CloudArc, a low-latency cloud gaming edge platform

PulsePlay announced a $55 million Series B led by Meridian Growth and launched CloudArc, a new cloud gaming edge platform designed to deliver sub-30ms latency for console-level experiences. CloudArc combines edge data centers, a proprietary low-overhead streaming protocol, and dynamic session placement to keep game servers and streaming endpoints near players. PulsePlay emphasizes cost-efficiency for developers through billed active-user minutes rather than fixed instance time.

The Series B will fund expansion across wired and wireless telco nodes, plus tooling for publishers and studios to containerize game instances for quick placement. PulsePlay is already piloting with several indie publishers and has agreements with regional telcos in Southeast Asia and Latin America to deploy micro edge points.

PulsePlay's pitch is to lower the barrier for smaller studios to reach players globally with high fidelity without investing in massive infrastructure. The startup also announced a developer SDK that automates latency-aware input prediction and adaptive streaming quality to maintain consistent frame-timing for competitive titles.
