QuantumArc releases Echo Rift VR headset with foveated OLED displays
Gaming · 6 min read
QuantumArc's Echo Rift uses integrated eye tracking to render high-fidelity pixels only where users are looking, significantly reducing required GPU bandwidth. The headset features a lightweight carbon-fiber frame, improved cooling for extended sessions, and a 10-axis tracking system.
The company also introduced an adaptive rendering SDK for studios to tune content fidelity across focal zones and a developer portal with performance analysis tools. Echo Rift supports both tethered PC modes and a high-bandwidth wireless streaming mode for mobility.
QuantumArc is partnering with a handful of creative software vendors to certify applications that benefit most from foveated rendering, specifically 3D sculpting and immersive prototyping tools. The Echo Rift is available for preorder with developer bundles and enterprise licensing options.
