QuantumEdge raises $200M to build a distributed quantum-safe cloud

QuantumEdge closed a $200 million strategic investment led by a consortium of cloud providers and major banks to develop quantum-resistant cloud services. The firm unveiled QuantumShield, which bundles lattice-based key exchange, post-quantum signing, and secure enclaves tuned for minimal latency.

QuantumEdge also released a developer SDK that transparently swaps in post-quantum algorithms for TLS, code signing, and data at rest, with fallbacks to classical algorithms for compatibility. The company emphasized low-friction migration paths and compliance tooling for critical infrastructure customers.

Funding will support R&D in cryptographic primitives, regional deployment of secure hardware, and partnerships with standards bodies. QuantumEdge said it expects growing enterprise demand as organizations prepare for the era of practical quantum compute.
