Quasar Labs launches CodeLens and secures $28M to expand AI testing for games

Quasar Labs’ funding round was led by Arcade Ventures and includes several studio investors. CodeLens uses learned behavior cloning and procedural scenario generation to create reproducible playtests that find edge-case bugs faster than manual QA.

The suite integrates with major engines and provides visual bug triage, deterministic replays, and performance regression dashboards. In trials, teams reported finding 2x the number of pathfinding and loot-parity issues compared to standard scripted tests.

Quasar will offer hosted testing farms and on-prem solutions for studios with IP constraints. The company also announced a certification program for studios to train custom bots tuned to their game’s mechanics.
