Quasar Robotics Raises $60M to Launch TacKit, a Haptics Suite for Game Developers

Quasar Robotics closed $60 million in Series B funding to commercialize TacKit, a haptics middleware and lightweight controller aimed at game studios and VR developers. The round was led by PlayFund with strategic support from several AAA studios.
TacKit combines a low-latency SDK that maps in-game events to nuanced haptic patterns and a modular controller featuring localized actuators and configurable feedback profiles. Quasar claims TacKit reduces development time for tactile features and scales across consoles, PC, and VR platforms.
Quasar will roll out dev kits to studio partners this fall and announced an open developer program with sample libraries and performance testing tools. The funding will expand R&D into advanced haptic materials and production tooling for hardware manufacturing.
