QuietKey raises $8.5M to launch a privacy-first passwordless SDK for mobile apps

QuietKey released a mobile SDK that implements passwordless authentication using local biometrics and hardware-bound keys, offering passwordless sign-in without relying on third-party servers. The approach mirrors decentralization trends in identity design, focusing on user control and minimal data leakage.

The $8.5 million seed round was led by Blue Ridge VC and includes investments from privacy-centric angel backers. QuietKey plans to allocate funding to developer tooling, enterprise support, and additional platform SDKs including web assembly builds for desktop PWAs.

The company also published a privacy whitepaper and compliance checklist to help teams adopt passwordless flows while meeting regulatory requirements. Early adopters include messaging apps and fintech startups where reducing credential risk is a priority.
