Reframe launches FlowBoard, a motion-design tool for product animations, and raises $5M seed

FlowBoard allows designers to craft micro-interactions and component-level animations with a motion timeline and tokens that can be exported as production-ready code for web and native platforms. Reframe emphasizes fidelity between the designer preview and runtime output to reduce iteration gaps.

The $5 million seed round will fund integrations with design systems and component libraries, as well as build an animation token registry for teams to standardize motion language. Investors included design tooling angels and a few developer tooling funds.

Early teams noted faster acceptance of motion specs by engineering due to FlowBoard's code exports and automatic detection of performance-heavy interpolations. Reframe plans to add collaborative review features and versioned motion libraries for organizations.
