RenderOps raises $13M to automate cinematic trailers with generative storyboarding
Design · 4 min read
RenderOps announced a $13 million seed round led by MediaFound and launched a platform that uses generative models to produce cinematic storyboards, animatics, and shot lists from simple narrative briefs. The tool supports post-house workflows by generating camera motion suggestions, color palettes, and timing maps that editors and directors can refine.
The platform integrates with VFX and editing suites so teams can move from concept to assembly cut faster. RenderOps positions itself as a time-saver for marketing teams and indie filmmakers who need polished trailers on tight schedules.
Funds will expand creative templates, build studio-grade privacy controls, and add a production marketplace connecting directors and VFX vendors. Early adopters reported cutting pre-production time by half and tighter alignment between creative briefs and final trailers.
