RetroPulse Raises $9M to Launch PulseRemix, an AI Toolkit for Remastering Classic Games

PulseRemix automates sprite upscaling, palette remapping, procedural audio enrichment, and frame-rate conversion while preserving original gameplay timing. It includes a reconciliation tool that helps maintain authentic feel by letting developers toggle AI-preserved artifacts on or off.

The funding was led by PixelSeed Ventures with participation from retro-game licensors. RetroPulse plans to offer both self-serve tooling and managed remaster services, plus a licensing marketplace to help rights holders connect with remaster teams.

Early remasters using PulseRemix reported dramatically reduced asset recreation times and fewer manual fixes. RetroPulse positions PulseRemix as a way to unlock backcatalog revenue by modernizing classics without losing their original charm.
