These hires own the stitching of design systems, component libraries, CI/CD for design artifacts, and integrations between Figma, analytics, and developer pipelines. Their job is to reduce friction so designers spend time designing, not maintaining tooling.

Skills in demand include scripting (TypeScript/Python), experience with design token frameworks, telemetry and event tracking, and familiarity with developer workflows like git-based design reviews.
