Runway expands Gen-UI toolkit with animated component generation for video interfaces

Runway updated its Gen-UI toolkit to include animated component generation tailored for video and AR interfaces. The system can generate motion curves, easing presets, and layered animation assets compatible with common motion libraries and AR toolkits.
Designers can provide a single-frame mockup or a short reference clip and receive a suite of animated component variants—animated buttons, transitions, HUD elements—exportable with metadata for frame timing and performance budgets.
Gen-UI emphasizes export fidelity for production: animation assets come with runtime-optimized versions for web, mobile, and AR platforms, and include fallbacks for low-power devices.
Early adopters in media and immersive experiences report that Gen-UI speeds up motion design iteration, especially for teams working across multiple runtime environments where manual adaptation was previously time-consuming.
